Can someone give insight into growth equity LBOs / debt

How does leverage work at the growth equity stage? I thought venture debt was relatively limited so I would highly appreciate any insights into the types of debt earlier stage companies are raising. Ie. at what point in the company lifecycle do you graduate to being able to raise debt and what does that look like at say Series D rounds?
