Chances for someone who has exp at FAANG(SWE then PM) + startup(PM) -> MBA from H/S to recruit for top growth equity firms?

Basically the title. I've seen a lot of posts where people have said MF PE would be impossible so I'm not even thinking about that unless I can do post MBA TMT IB at a BB and then try for PE but I heard that's also close to impossible. I have an option of getting in VC but I know that VC firms won't make you a Partner unless you have a successful startup exit. I feel growth equity would be ideal if I can get it in terms of future prospects(promotions) and comp. Can someone please tell me if this is possible? cuz I've heard that some funds do take ppl from nonfinance backgrounds as well but is it the same for the top GE funds?
