College Major for Tech VC
I would like to go into tech VC, however I am not sure what I should major in. Since comp sci/engineering is becoming the major for tech, I might major in that. However, can I major in economics and still break in? Is a comp sci background necessary for VC now?
Why not major in both? That'll logically be the best preparation. Tech VC is quite a broad definition- engineering would be better for some things, comp sci for others. Keep in mind that to get to VC you often (if not always) need to go through something like IB, and having an economics/finance major could make that easier.
Comp Sci or EE plus finance is the ideal mix
