Corporate VC/Growth Equity (bank) or S&T
Wondering if you might be able to help as currently stuck on a job décision, long term looking to be in growth equity space (Bessemer, similar etc.)
Currently an analyst at a top 5 BB in equity s&t in a sales based role. Lot of internal mobility and good total comp (looking and able to move to IB) .Hours allow for intra day learning but not investment/ strategy focused whatsoever more prod specialist focused.
Have an offer for corporate growth equity / VC at a global bank (think Nomura, RBC etc.) investing in Fintech exposure to Series A and beyond but tend not to lead in later stages so little direct exposure to pricing and little exposure to sourcing given late stage/Corp nature (not a fund). Investment is restricted by corporate strategy alignment but allows exposure to global Fintech cos, founders and investment process.
Holding comp constant - wondering what présents best opp to learn and best exit opps if further down line ever try to transition to growth equity assuming i go IB route at current firm?
Any thoughts much appreciated
