Growth Equity --> Hedge Fund

Hi All - just wondering if this move is ever possible at all - assume it is very rare but wanting to hear any experiences (I'm a junior considering next steps)

Credit --> Growth Equity --> HF?

You're a junior in Growth Equity? I feel like there are so many hedge funds with sub 20 FTEs all over the country that anything is possible if you can prove you're competent to the right person. I interned at a 25 employee family office that had a 5 person group managing a long-short book and they all had different backgrounds. Not sure if that's helpful. Btw what did you do in credit? Curious how you made the move into Growth Equity.
