Growth Equity Modeling

Hello,

I will be starting at a growth equity firm in about 6 months but am nervous about my technical skills. I currently work for a boutique investment bank where I have never built a model (the companies we work with have there own models already). What level of modeling skills will I be expected to have in growth equity? What tips do you have for learning this if I am not getting experience on the job?

I had to take a modeling test for interviews so I can do all the basic LBO's and operating models that are free online that people use to prep
