Growth Equity out of Undergraduate

Hi everyone, I'm interested in joining the Growth Equity space right out of undergrad. It would be great to hear which GE shops have summer internship programs and also their analyst program, comp, etc.

Any other information would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Will do! Do you have any idea on their policies regarding international students?

vFinal has a good post on this. I would add something that they don't -- when you're interviewing for these roles, make sure you're coming in with some thoughtful perspectives on the software growth / venture / buyout landscape. Can help to check out publications by Jamin Ball, Alex Clayton, etc. and read deal announcement newsletters like Pro Rata (Axios). Just helps you stand out in the conversation.

Your goal should probably be Insights analyst program as #1. If you still need a junior internship I think they have those too. Another good but lesser known firm that recruits for SAs and undergrad FT i believe it’s founded by some ex-insight folk- level equity. That’s all i know from my short GE interview phase. Gl

Thank you! I am aiming for Insight's program but the issue that I've come across is that they seem to hire from a core of target schools. This makes it difficult to even get a networking call.

Not OP, but curious as to what the analyst comp is at these shops? Currently considering going the GE route over IB.

BX has a GE fund that's good. The strategy used to be part of Tac Opps, but now it's a separate fund. They've had an internship, but starting last year they now hire FT through their analyst program alongside its other funds. Definitely check it out, as its made up of really great people (with experience at firms like GA, GS PIA, a16z, other BX funds, etc.)

Thanks for mentioning that, I wasn't aware of it tbh. Outside of BX, are there any that you would recommend for an internship? Just for reference, I'm at a semi-target (if it helps)
