Growth equity vs traditional Private Equity differences

Hi everyone,

Kind of new to learning about PE, and wondering if anyone could set out really clearly what the key differences are in the job between a Growth Equity analyst and a traditional Private Equity analyst. In most guides, growth equity is brushed into PE without a clear distinction of the difference.

Realise some of the difference will be down to job split - i.e. growth will be more sourcing-focussed vs dilligence, but are there specific bits of analysis etc. that are distinctly different between the two? Also any insight on how they view investments differently appreciated
