How good are externships for IB recruting

Hello everyone,

I was accepted in an externship of one month in a vc in the United States (work is online as I am in Europe).

I am wondering how useful is this externship for my resume and recruiting for BB either in London or Europe, especially since I am already doing an internship with live deal experience. Is having this externship might tarnish my real internship ?

Thank you for your answers !

Cheers

Congratulations on the externship! I think it shows great initiative and could definitely add value to your resume. Having both experiences could make you stand out more.

it’s a good sounding name/brand and has legit partners as well as some recent MBA hires FT. There’s little downside and someone who ik had their little brother do it while a sophomore and helped him in interviews for a growth equity SA role, as they only had a big 4 SA role prior and it helped express their interest in growth/vc. i would brand it as just a ‘Venture Capital Intern’ as that’s what it is

It's an experience to work with a company (doing market research/finding business trends) that is online / not paid. Usually you are recruited through an intermediary.

Its done mostly by students who are first year / dont have experience yet

Where did you go about finding these and is yours paid?

I saw one before via a LinkedIn post but when they're free they sound more like free labour to do bs jobs
