How to get startups' revenues?
I started recently as a 1st-year analyst at a small VC firm and I have been asked t spread comps for a few startups. The issue is we use EV/Rev metric but I am having a hard time finding any source for startup revenues compared to funding (for obvious reasons). Any idea?

we use our internal database from the hundreds of companies we have spoken to before and a variety of data rooms as well.
But if you'd need a specific data set from a niche group of startups... you could call up your network and see who can help out.
Pitchbook , although it is usually dog shit for recent financials - a more reliable proxy from Pitchbook is to use last round raised as revenue - assuming you are looking at the earliest stages that are usually pre-revenue or negligible revenue
A good estimation if you have zero idea is $150,000 * FTE = Estimated Total Revenue
Can you elaborate on the rationale behind it?

Thanks!
I noticed it is from 2012, did anything change in the last decade?
