Looking to Pivot into HF, VC, or PE – Advice?

I’m currently a Senior Analyst at a semiconductor company, focusing on forecasting, financial planning, and cross-functional operations. I have also done a lot of financial controlling as well. I graduated from a target school and am looking to pivot into hedge funds, venture capital, or private equity, and wondering if this is realistic pre-MBA. I didn’t know what I wanted to do up until recently and would love any advice people have.

I don’t have direct M&A or deal experience beyond large customer deals working in sales but have strong financial modeling skills and exposure to strategic initiatives working with C-suite.

How feasible is a transition to HF, VC, or PE with my background? Would an interim step like corporate development or IB be necessary? Any advice on where to start or how to position myself would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
