Meeting with VC Partner
Hey everyone,
I am meeting with a partner from a venture capital firm in a couple days for afternoon coffee. Any thoughts on what to wear? I was thinking either a nice collared shirt with a sweater or a shirt with a blazer and no tie....any suggestions between the two.
Or go with the suit?
Suit-up, unless he/she specifically said not to.
Zuckerberg says to wear a hoodie...worked for him.
Lot easier to dress down if you show up overdressed than the other way around...
I wouldn't wear a suit if you're meeting for coffee. Will seem like overkill. Maybe suit without a tie? I would just wear business casual. If you're meeting at a starbucks equivalent it's a little absurd to think that you'd wear a suit.
Agree with the suit and no tie - something that is often worn both casually and for business.
Where are you based? If it's NYC, then maybe a suit with no tie. In SF/Bay Area then you should probably go business casual.
