Need advice to go from MM Buyout to GE

I recently completed a two-year associate program at a MM PE and just quit to go back to my home country China so I can spend time with my girlfriend and family.

The buyout market in China is still relatively young with few transactions each year and not that many firms focusing on it.

I'm trying to transition into growth equity. Would really appreciate some advice on how I could best prepare myself.
