PE vs Growth Equity / VC - Preparing for the future

Hi all,

From Europe, currently working in LMM / MM PE (classic, sector agnostic buyouts) and looking for my next move.

I am wondering if its smart to continue my path in classic LBO or rather switch to growth equity/ late stage VC (focussed on Tech, Consumer etc) given how the market evolves. Anyone else having these thoughts? I am somehow scared that in 10-15 years time my skillset is less relevant and it will be harder to succeed as a partner.

Thank you!
