Plug and Play Tech Center

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience with Plug and Play Tech Center? They consider themselves a global innovation platform and VC firm, essentially functioning as an accelerator/incubator, in addition to having an investing arm.

They appear to write smaller tickets (pre-seed and seed) as followers with FO money, rather than from LPs. However, they seem to have raised a few dedicated funds for some larger investments (up to Series-A).

They currently have various Venture Analyst/Associate roles available globally, but I've come across some mixed reviews online. Any direct experiences or secondhand views would be greatly appreciated.

A former colleague of mine used to work there, they said you learn a lot and the networking is good, but the work environment is somewhat dysfunctional/toxic and there are no growth opportunities. Good stepping stone if you goal is to break into VC.

Depending on your background and how much success you are having at receiving offers from VCs, I would recommend going for the role at plug and play if given the chance, and later on transitioning to another VC. Cycling from VC to another is common within a year period and you would have secured another job elsewhere in the meantime while growing your network, win win.
