Series 63? - S&T Desk for a small broker dealer

I work on the Sales and Trading desk for a small broker dealer that does municipal bonds only. I passed my Series 52 a year ago. Do I need my Series 63 in order to speak with customers in sales and trading capacity?

It takes a day to study for and pass the 63.

While this is probably true, I would suggest breaking it into 8-10 1-hour sessions so you have longer to let the material sink in. I just took a practice exam section each day and listened to a little material while at the gym and passed it in a breezy two weeks. You hardly have to go out of your way.

"We're not lawyers, we're investment bankers. We call you for the paperwork. We didn't go to Harvard, we went to Wharton, and we saw you coming a mile away."

You need all of about 4-5 hours of reviewing material and then maybe 3-4 practice tests and you'll pass it. The test is like 45 minutes and you only need a 72 or something to pass.

I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
