Typical VC Analyst / Associate Pay
I just got extended an offer to join a well regarded early / expansion stage VC fund with ~$800AUM for an analyst role (same as associate role at other places - basically the title they give someone following 1-3 years of banking / consulting / corp dev / etc.). I was wondering what typical VCs pay at these positions.
I know its not the same money as at buyout shops, but can someone give me a range of typical pay packages at these places.
$80 - $100M with ~50% bonus plus opportunity to reinvest in the fund sound pretty standard?
Any guidance on this subject would be appreciated. Thanks.
Is this in Menlo Park? New York? London?
If it's one of the first two options, I'd say 80-100k is pretty reasonable (depending on your level of experience). The opportunity to invest with the fund is standard as well.
Not sure on the bonus.
I'd hope they pay at least 90k with more upside.
what about at a place like KPCB or DFJ?
im interested in this as well
