Undergrad VC Internship Offer Odds: Final Round

Hi all,

As the heading suggests, I am applying to work at a local NYC VC firm over the winter, and want to know if anyone has insights into offer dynamics/odds for VC. I have been going through a process that started with a cold message in August and has so far consisted of: 1) a Zoom call with the CFO/my point of contact, 2) an in-person interview with the CFO, a partner, & a principal, 3) a research paper, and 4) an in-person interview with one of the managing partners. The managing partner emailed me after our meeting, saying they wanted me to meet with one more person and would keep me updated. I'm wondering how I should feel regarding my odds of receiving an internship offer, and if I need to be worried about any EOY business or other factors I may not know of delaying or hurting my chances? For more context, I need to secure an internship as a school requirement for my winter semester (they know this), and it's getting a bit tight of a timeline. They haven't had any undergrad interns to my knowledge, but I have a strong background, my interviews went well, and the MP said I seemed a good fit. Any tips or thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!
