I'm surprised that you make only $1750 a week after taxes. That's a pittance, even at a small VC firm. If you have nothing else, though, you have to take the job. Besides, VC doesn't offer the same direct routes to advancement as IB, for instance, does. Any opportunities thrown your way are valuable if you want to make it somewhere in VC. At the very least, this job will give you some experience that you can use as leverage to get a better job in a year.
