VC - but no tech experience

Have a possible interview with a stage agnostic VC. Background in Leveraged Finance - no tech experience as such.

Is it necessary to have founder/start-up/tech experience?

What are some ways (from easily accessible to difficult) I can demonstrate an interest in the space?

Many Thanks.
