VC from MS?

I know that VC's target entrepreneurs or people with specific sets of expertise but, I was wondering if anyone knows of VC firms that would look at recent graduates for analyst positions? I went to a well known school (non-target for finance) for UG and now a top B-School for my MS. Any insights are appreciated.

Most VCs look for operational experience, because they need someone who can babysit management of their portfolio companies on a regular basis. You can get an internship at a VC firm fairly easily, but getting FT without some kind of industry/startup/banking experience is very tough.

Thanks, how was consulting lead into that? Im looking into both banks with tech deals and well as consultancies that have a lot of silicone valley projects. Do you think a few years with that could be as beneficial as banking?

Depends on the firm. Some firms have several MPs coming from consulting. So, yes, you can get in after consulting. Some VCs actually will not hire former bankers, but would consider consultants (specifically that's what I was told at DFJ).

Accepted a FT offer for a BD position today, so I guess I'm now in BD :)

My last two stints were a VC internship, and an IB internship at a boutique, both unpaid. VC firm told me they'd hire me on condition they raise a new fund next year (which is not a 100% probability these days), and boutique promised to hire me as soon as one of the bigger deals now in the pipeline closes (sometimes that can take years). I decided to go with the safe bet. BD offer was exploding, so I did not want to take chances (and was running low on cash).

P.S. I'm already an MBA, so we are talking Associate level positions here.
