VC Internship or remote market research internship at a boutique IB

Yo chimps,

So currently I have 2 internship offers.

VC Internship

- On-site

- Firm is headquartered in Silicon Valley,  AUM $1-3M range. And theyre one of the big ones in my country (Asia).
- The internship will be at their Asia branch though.

- My tasks range from market research, deal sourcing, etc.

Market Research Internship

- Fully remote, firm based in India

- Boutique IB/advisory firm, est 20yrs ish.
- Tasks focuses on market research and a bit of data analysis but not too technical.

I have previously done another VC internship but that firm was essentially a startup, had 0 AUM, completely no name. It was virtual as well so, not sure how useful it is and if I need to do this new VC offer one to make up for it.

Also I am heading into my freshman year soon, so thats some background about me.

Thoughts anyone?

Thank you in advance my fellow chimps, all the best!

I'd take the VC one, especially if goal is to go anywhere in the west. On-site experience generally preps better than remote as well and unsure about dealflow for a small Indian based bank but a Silicon Valley VC should see stuff to work on

Thanks for the advice!

Maybe im a noob for not clarifying earlier, the branch i will work at is their asia branch, on-site. Still is the vc one the better option?

I did take that into consideration. Only you'd know the deal/investment flow at the VC but as long as you think you'll get to see even 3-4 deals while in Asia, it should be better than the IB

Edit: If your goal is to work around India, then take the IB, I assumed with the tags you wanted western opinion
