Quick question: Do you guys learn most of your modelling on the job or before you start?

If you're working at an early stage VC you likely won't touch a model all summer. Modeling is basically non-existent for early stage VC because there just isn't anything to model. You might spread some comps to look at potential exits, but that's even unlikely. If it's growth equity you might the firm might do some basic modeling, but even then you likely won't be involved as an intern.
