VP-Level Growth Equity Case Study (Sector-Agnostic) - Tips and Materials

Hi folks,

Currently interviewing with an impact-oriented climate growth equity / late-VC fund for a VP role and have an upcoming case study. Not sure of the format but likely to be a 3-5hr case you complete ahead of a follow-up panel interview of 1 - 1.5hrs.

Really keen to see if there is anyone out there willing to share any precedent case studies or insights - I am agnostic on sector doesn't have to be climate related at all, just keen to get in some reps prior to doing it.

In addition, also curious to get insight from anyone with experience at this level - what to expect from a case. I suspect there will be less emphasis on building financial models and more on strategic-thinking / commercial acumen and ability to build a well considered investment case

For context I come from a value-add climate infrastructure background so my experience with traditional PE / growth equity case studies is pretty limited. The modelling component is generally never an issue given my experience, what I am really keen on ensuring is that I am able to evaluate opportunities holistically considering all the things an exceptional candidate would.

Would be awesome if I could PM / exchange notes with anybody who has experience in this regard - I am also more than happy to share the case studies I have collated over the years - I have a good 16 real case studies / modelling tests - including 1 climate growth / late-VC

Thanks for reading!
