Early Insights Programs + 2-Day Superdays: How to conduct yourself at dinners, interviews, workshops, and senior leader chats

Hello Everyone!

Now that there has been a return to in-person events, I'd love to hear some advice from senior professionals on how potential interns can best stand out when it comes to super days and early insights programs from an etiquette stand-point. I have a 2-day (one-night) early insight program with a BB coming up next month, and I'd love to hear your guys' thoughts on the following areas my peers and I could encounter:

  • What to wear (dinner & workshop days + Senior leader chats)
  • How to spark conversations with students, analysts, MD's, etc.?
  • What to discuss at the dinner table?
  • What qualities do you see in the ideal candidate when it comes to Wealth Management programs (are there specific things you are looking for at the dinner table, breakout sessions to network, etc.)?
  • What do you wish prospective candidates would do or ask to increase their chances of getting an offer at these in-person events?
  • Do's and Don'ts when it comes to overnight stays, networking, interviews the following day, etc.
