Goldman Sachs PWM Summer Intern offer VS tier 3 European Bank PWM full time offer
Hi, I recently got 2 offers, 1 from GS PWM summer analyst offer and another tier 3 European Bank full-time analyst offer. Any opinions on what offer I should take since 1 is a full-time offer and another 1 is a summer analyst role and I might not have a chance in converting to a full-time job? Thanks
GS offer. They and JPM are the best in PWM
Interns really give the worst advice. Yes GS would be the better choice but you’re going to give up a year of salary and potentially pay for another semester of school just for the GS name? I’m sure you could lateral after a year and still end up at GS full time at the same time as if you returned after the internship.
agree with what you said. Any idea if it is easy to transition between private banks in the PWM industry?
Goldman and JP Morgan are not the best in PWM. First of all, JP Morgan is Private Banking which is a different model than PWM. GS and JP are first an IB before WM. Where as UBS is first a wealth manager that also does IB. UBS/MS/Merrill are the big players in WM for years around the globe. PWM is fairly new for the others.
