High School Graduate, Ultimately want to get into Investment Banking. Should I take this Wealth Management internship offer?
So I’m just going to get right to the point. I just graduated high school, and my goal is to eventually get into investment banking or straight to private equity albeit that’s unlikely. I emailed almost a hundred wealth management firms in the near and distant area, one has given me an offer.
As a high school graduate, there’s not much value I can give but they’re letting me manage their social media accounts. I’m probably going to take it, as it’s better than working at the local McDonald’s but I wanted to get some other opinions on this as well. What would you do if you were in my shoes?
Why wouldn’t you take this offer.
Honestly i’d enjoy my summer before college instead of working but thats just me.
Edit: also working at retail is more valuable than some bs internship imo I worked at a fast food retail and had great conversations on those experiences when I interviewed
