HL Corporate Finance and Financial Advisory

Hi guys!
I have first round interview offers from both these divisions. My interviews are on the same day; corp fin is before FAS. I need help in framing my answer to why I would choose one over the other. corporate finance is my first choice. If I am asked which one is my first choice, should I be truthful or should I say that I am fine with either?
Also, from what I have read so far, it seems like HL's corp fin tends to be quite technical. Does it focus equally on both fit and technical Qs? And what technical questions have been asked in the past?
How about FAS's interview?
Thanks!

tell the CF people that you prefer to be in CF. Tell the FAS people that you are happy to be in either. If they're both in the room tell them you'd prefer CF because of the focus on transaction execution and the legal and financial aspects of structuring deals.

I would suggest that you go for houlihan Corp Fin. The FAS practice is a joke and over the years has devolved to such an extent that it is no longer a path worth pursuing in my opinion. Dont take my word for it though. Reach out ex Houlihan FAS guys and ask about their experiences.
