Internal wholesaler and private banking wealth management career advice
I am a current student who has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and will be graduating with a Master of Science in Accountancy in the next month. I am seeking some advice about what career path to go down as I am looking to start my career. I have a job offer to be an internal wholesaler at a large asset management company (Like Nuveen or Goldman Sachs). I am interested in this opportunity but would also like to work in private banking in wealth management eventually. Can any one provide any insight about internal wholesaler salary, work life balance, job responsibility, and career progression? Also, if I were to start my career as an internal wholesaler do you think it would be possible to transition into private wealth management at a place like US Bank? Pros and cons of each career path?
Any advice or tips on the industry are greatly appreciated!
