I work as an associate advisor in a small town for one of the big banks in Canada with roughly 200mm in AUM in a team of 3. My role on the team is the Wealth Advsior so I give advice to clients on estate, tax, insurance and all those good things. I made an account because @thebrofessor" inspired me to contribute to this site. I hope I can be as successful as he has been.
I hope I can give some insight and advice to people thinking about joining the industry as I also progress through my career.
How did you start, and what did you do to get there? I currently work in PWM as a part-time job, and I am interested in knowing what takes to reach your level. My colleagues have been working in PWM for at least 20 years (I think), they are about 40-50 years old but I don't think they are near that level at all.
