PWM roles: Senior Analyst vs. VP

Hi,

I was asked this in an interview and wasn't sure how to answer it as I am not so clear in the distinctions... I have worked in Asset Management, but in a rather smaller firm where it was me and the PM only.

I was asked how I'd describe the difference between the responsibilities of an analyst vs. the responsibility of a vice president when explaining to a new client we are signing up. People in the PWM industry or having knowledge, could you elaborate on this?

I know some of the distinctions would be queries regarding account opening and such logistics would goto the Analyst...

Thanks
