Recommended PWM & PB Information
Can anybody direct me towards any good threads on here or outside sources on PWM & PB career paths and other general information and discussions? I've read alot of threads on here but the information seems pretty limited since its mostly IB on here.
Thanks
EDIT: I'm mostly interested in information on breaking in as an analyst, I've already seen the thread about associates but nothing about as an analyst
Check out @thebrofessor 's threads.
Thanks for the mention brah.
OP, I addressed this in one of my blog posts, can't remember which one, but the short answer is PB is better if you're looking to only do analytical work, I think from reading some of rogersterling's posts the recuitment is similar to ib so I'd recommend networking in addition to cold calling.
I'd assume PB is more competitive to get into than PWM?
very much so. PWM is easy to get in, hard to be successful. for rookie brokers, there's something like 95% attrition.
Interesting, I know your blog posts were focused on PWM but do you know the typical path to getting in as a PB analyst? What kind of internships should I be seeking out? How difficult is it to break in, in comparison to IB?
