Series 7/66 Study Materials Reimbursement Before scheduled Start Date?
Hello guys, hope everyone's well. Wanted to ask if member firms reimburse hires for study materials if purchased before scheduled start date? Slated to join firm in their WM arm with scheduled start date later on (pending background check). Was told that I needed to complete my series 7, 66 within 180 days of start, but figured I'd get a head start on studying. If I were to purchase study materials now (Kaplan), would the firm reimburse me for this (despite buying it before my start date)? Or should I just wait to officially start first? Thanks!

Depends on the firm you are joining - they all have different onboarding. Some have different training material they supply as well so it might not be Kaplan. The BB banks do pay for the study material.
