I was wondering if people knew what was going on with them? I may have the opportunity to go work for their local PWM VP in a mid-size market but I have avoided asking about the security of his job or how the buyout will affect me if I do come on. Also, any idea what a typical starting salary would be?
my background is econ major, interned on nyse, Bear FAST intern, and an internship with asset management firm.
I know the market is horrible right now, but I am also curious if anyone had any other suggestions about where I might look? I do have pretty good connections at JPM from my time at Bear but I dont really want to do fixed income.
