1st years at Morgan Stanley S&T received a $20k stub in December and another $20k this summer, so $40ish fo bonus. My buddy works 60-65 hours a week and looks like he's gonna be making $85k base, $10 signing, and $40 performance. $135k as a first year

We're not lawyers. We're investment bankers. We didn't go to Harvard. We Went to Wharton!

No, it's a prorated $40k bonus for the entire year. So the Summer '16 entry level analysts got $20k in January and will be getting the remaining $20k in July.

For Markets (S&T) @ DB:

DB told juniors (anyone below VP) they would pay "competitive" with street. Likely will find out in early march with mid march payout.

March 2016 were this: A0 (Graduate in May, 85k base salary, started in July, rotate during fall, hit desks in Jan): Base raise from 85k to 90k, 10k stub A1 (have completed 1 year on desk): Base raise from 90k to 95k, bonus ranging from 10k-40k A2 (have completed 2 years on desk, most promoted to associate): base raise from 95k to 115k

Whoa, looks kinda shitty across the pond, at our firm it was a bit weird this year due to all the alleged FX rigging and shit so bonuses for all were smaller but still based upon p&l. From what I hear guys on the FX desks around me are taking in approx £160k bonus on average (acg was across 5 people so not exactly representative). The BSD on the FX desks apparently took in 1,2mm, although he nailed it during brexit and us presidentials
