A question about deal timing
What are the major milestones of a deal? I know it varies by firm, but I'm wondering:
-
When does the LBO get made? After the first pitch to the deal team I'm assuming? How many weeks before bidding is the LBO made?
-
What happens in the last few days leading up to the bid/buy?
-
What do you call major presentations of findings along the way? I only know consulting lingo like "final read-out" or "interim update" but I feel like I want to get a better grasp on PE jargon.
