Accenture Paid Overtime
I was recently offered a position in Accenture with an annual salary. However, they are also giving me overtime pay. Does this really depend on the manager or do they not allow you to work 40 + hours so you essentially don't get OT pay. I heard that you don't get OT pay because the manager won't let you put more than 8 hours a day due to consulting contracts.

While it is your right to report overtime hours and legally, you’re supposed to be paid it, keep in mind that you so at the risk of your job. You will find that while there are overtime policies in place, most firms are not known for happily paying these extra hours. It’s kind of an unwritten rule that you just do the time without complaint or expectation.

In practice, you're asked to not report more than 40 hours. What you should do is report every hour you work because that is legally what you are suppose to do (both the law and Accenture's internal policy dictates this). If anyone gives you shit for this, you point them to the policy (which you can find when you start working there). Plan on making bank.

Not at all how that works, but, you're right, for a few hours, its not worth to put it. If you're doing like 10+, probably worth it.
Accenture Systems Integration: Overtime pay? (Originally Posted: 02/24/2015)
Recently I received an offer letter from Accenture in their Business & Systems Integration practice. It gives an approximated salary based on an hourly rate and an average 40 hour, 52 week work year. However, as a surprise to me, it also stated that overtime will be given based on local and state laws. Does that mean that if I work 50 hours in a week (which I am sure is not uncommon) I am going to get paid for 50 hours? (or 55 if paid at time and a half over 40) I'm sure this sounds like a stupid question but I wasn't under the impression that consulting firms generally paid hourly/overtime, but rather on a salary and bonus. Is it sort of a thing where, even if I work 60 hours, I am still more or less obligated to only put down 40 hours officially? I ask because it seems too good to be true, as I assume that more than 40 hour work weeks are the norm, even in systems integration.
