Alpinvest

Any recent insight on work life balance and comp at associate / senior associate level? How many deals per year (roughly) can you expect to do and any insight on team culture and dynamic would be helpful. Noticed many of the team are ex BB bankers so is the culture more difficult than smaller co-investment shops?

Great shop with a great reputation. Under Carlyle umbrella. Compensation is above market

Associates generally clear 275k cash.

Senior associates clear 310k cash with carry

VP clears 350-370k cash with carry.

Not the best lifestyle, but on average I’ve heard 9am to 8pm hours. But great deal flow and good place to be. Heard the culture is great despite being under the Carlyle umbrella. Feel free to DM me for more info

Hey thanks for your input and would appreciate more insight! Am 2nd year at BB IBD looking for a longer-term career path + lifestyle change, got reached out by a recruiter about an Alpinvest secondaries role (I’ve also been mainly researching FoF etc. opportunities instead of PE at moment )

Could we connect and share more colour? Appreciate!
