CADP to IB?

Im going to be a corporate analyst intern this summer at jp morgan this summer, I was wondering how hard it would be to try and leverage that experience and get a full time position in IB in either JP morgan or the other banks

They do run it in Wilmington (as well as other offices), but I doubt anyone is pulling an EB or PE offer from it

It’s run out of Chi/NY/DE/OH. It’s a middle office program. Some assignments can be interesting but NOT at all relevant to IB besides the name of the company on your resume. Let me emphasize that again: You will not learn anything in this program that will directly help you in banking and a hiring manager in a FO role is not going to be fooled into thinking otherwise. But you get full access to the internal JPMC phonebook, so like many things in life, it is what you make of it.

Many people have hustled out of the program into FO roles. Especially true if you’re not in the DE/OH offices because there are practically no FO people in those locations to network with and the analyst class is way bigger.

Sure. If that's where you want to go.

You've got access to the entire JPMC phonebook, an email address that ends in Jpmorganchase.com, and a Skype program that lets you chat with any person in the entire company ("what's up Jamie D"). If you can't figure out a way to use that as a resource for networking, you've got bigger problems.

Dude, you’re gonna be doing nothing relevant to IB. No pitching, relevant modeling, or probably even use of accounting. Not gnna transition like that
