Overview
Sales & Marketing Financial Analyst supporting Oral Care, Private Label, Loyalty, and Household Brands
Roles/Responsibility
Summary: Proactively deliver relevant, actionable financial information/analysis and recommendations to the sales and brand organization/platforms they are assigned to. Actively influence their business partners by championing, challenging, and improving profitability and overall financial performance.
Responsibilities to include:
- Actively investigate and identify financial risk & opportunities, as well as explain variances to Bud/LE for the marketing team through analysis on

o Brand/Item/Channel/Customer Mix

o Net Revenue expenses

o Pricing

o COGS

o A&P Spend

  • Perform analytical financial business reviews with cross-functional partners, identify (mitigate) risks, call out opportunities, and help to lead and support LE, Strat Plan, and AOP process

o Financial Reporting (Monthly, Quarterly, Annually)

  •  Provide assistance and support in the A&P budget tracking process, invoice processing/tracking, and accrual management
    
  •  NPD/Innovation financial feasibility – work with cross functional teams to help develop profitable (margin Accretive) new offerings
    

o Includes helping set COGS targets, assisting in optimal price/trade strategy, and ultimately understanding financial impact of the decisions

  •  ROI Analytics – Includes supporting both marketing on A&P programs (pre/post ROI evaluation) and Sales programs
    
  •  Support input of financial and sales planning data into system
    
  •  Support forecasting/inventory modeling efforts (Shipment to Consumption Reconciliation)
    
  •  Be a key contributor to cross functional process improvement projects
    
  •  Assist customer development managers in productivity analysis for retail customers
    

Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelors degree with major in Finance/Accounting. MBA Plus.

  •  Minimum 2-5 years of financial or accounting analysis/planning experience. Brand planning/profitability and analysis a plus.
    
  •  Ability to communicate and understand the drivers of product profit & loss
    
  •  Demonstrates the ability to design financial/non-financial measurements and KPI’s to drive improved business performance (financial scorecards, etc.)
    
  •  Financial/<span><a href="https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/financial-modeling-training">Excel</a></span> modeling skills
    
  •  Accrual/Invoicing experience
    
  •  Partnerships (functional support) experience/roles
    
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven track record of developing strong business partnerships
    
  •  Strong analytical skills, including attention to detail and follow-up
    
  •  Computer Skills: Advanced in MS Windows including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    
  •  Experience in SAP and Business Warehouse/Objects reporting is a plus
    
  •  Ability to perform well in a dynamic and fast paced environment
