Ask George soros a question about philanthropy right now

George soros is currently fielding questions at a talk I'm at. The subject is philanthropy but I imagine he'd answer anything interesting. If you have a good question pose it here and I'll ask it and report back.

Livingston:
Ask how reflexivity plays into his philanthropy

Lol, I wouldn't want to get him started on reflexivity. All I remember is him talking about it in 2008 when he was made to testify on the financial crisis. Needless to say everybody looked confused as shit as he talked in circles.

Ever read one of his books? Complete headache

Read Popper, the dude Soros emulates. Aneurysm style dude.

Ask him about central and eastern Europe development and how the Soros Foundation is contributing to driving information access and socio-economic reform. Ask him specifically about Hungary, where he's from, to get him talking.

YW

Didn't get a chance to ask any questions because stupid goombahs took up all the time asking inane general questions about philanthropy that anybody could have answered. He did end up talking about Eastern European development though, Durban.

ask him why you're douchey enough to create this thread.

"LOOK AT ME, I'M AT A GEORGE SOROS EVENT, I'M SO COOL"

WSO is not a convenient medium to do this. If Soros' answer is incisive enough to be interesting, there'd probably be a lot lost in translation when you try to remember/regurgitate what he says. Plus, much of communication is non-verbal.

sorry, but this is a really douchey thread IMO.

But how do you really feel? I mean really.
