Not the best person to ask but I can add a little here: 1. Understand the importance of AR and AP Aging Schedules and how they work 2. In my experiences, ABL's are often made based on AR and Inv, look into what other types of assets are most common 3. Look into the firms background and understand their lending criteria 4. Be able to advise on basic loan structures 5. Understand the differences between CF and ABL lending (pretty obvious ik)
Should be a decent starting point until someone more knowledgable can chime in
Thanks a lot for your input, could you elaborate more on advising on basic loan structures?
Well, are they a retailer or a company paid through a third party? If so, then odds are they probably have a lot of AR. This is good for ABLs. Do they have strong cash flows with consistent margins? Then a Cash flow based loan would probably make sense. Idk what position you're interviewing for so I don't know how in depth to go, and am only an intern so I am far from an expert, but that is the basic idea. Also look into loans based on CapEx.
It's for an entry level. Anyway thanks for the input Mr!
Interviewing at Wells?
Are you any familiar with the field?
