Asset Management: Recruiting Firms
I am a 7-year equity research analyst looking for new opportunities/roles on the buy-side. I currently work at a boutique asset manager in New York City and would like to explore opportunities at larger asset managers. Recruiters have reached out to me in the past (via LinkedIn), but the roles presented have rarely been very compelling. At this point, I would like to take more ownership of my career and would like to explore new avenues of growth. Is it ok to reach out to recruiters directly or is it customary for the recruiting team to make contact first? If so, does anyone have any recommendations for which recruiting firms to reach out to in order to start a dialogue?
Much appreciated!
