Automatic Rejection from UBS Online Application?
Just completed the UBS numeracy/reasoning tests online, didn't go too badly. Haven't received a rejection email yet. I'm assuming this is a good sign but has anyone had an automatic rejection letter? Application for Risk in London by the way.
Have I Been Denied from UBS?
With the multi-step process of UBS recruitment, it can be hard to tell if you have moved on to the next round. However, when it comes to the online assessment (discussed elsewhere on WSO), our users shared that you will not receive an automatic rejection if you are not moving on.
User @Asatar" shared that you haven't been rejected until you've been notified:
My online application for a BB in London was literally at the "under review" stage for about 3 months, then one day out of the blue I get the email asking me to take the tests and a week later I have done the assessment centre and have the offer. Unless they rejected you, don't give up. If you haven't heard anything in a week, give their graduate recruitment a call.
User @design" shared that they never received a rejection after completing the online assessment.
Well, I took one of these for UBS for a position in Hong Kong about a year ago. Haven't received an email to this day, and I followed up and everything. Not trying to sound like a negative nancy, but don't hold your breathe...
With this in mind, if you have been in limbo for over a month, it would be safe to contact your HR rep to see if you are moving forward in the process.

Thanks for the reply. Did your application status change on your online account?
Nope. Still says "Application Complete" under HR Status and the HR Status Date is 18-Sep-2010, haha...

Had something very similar with UBS.
To OP, I'd forget about it, the HR there are more of a joke than usual.
UBS is under a hiring freeze. So ya, I recommend against holding your breath.
Ah.. Spoke to a colleague from when I did my internship there and he didn't mention anything about it, how do you know?

General concensus.
Means you passed the online test. Doesn't mean you'll make it to the next stage.
That was the original question, thanks for the optimism though.
