UBS SONRU First Round Video Interview
I have a first round SONRU video interview with UBS for a 2018 IBD summer analyst position. I've done the Goldman and JP video interviews so I'm somewhat familiar with the setup, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience/insight to offer into UBS' system? Thanks!
UBS Video Interview
The UBS SONRU video interview consists of approximately 8 questions. Candidates receive 45 seconds to prepare (adjust the camera, light etc) at the beginning and then 2 minutes to record each question with three minutes to answer why you want to work at UBS. There is not time to prepare between the quetsions once the interview starts.

- What are the challenges of the IT department?

How to answer "Why this..." Questions
Why do you want to do finance or investment banking? Why this firm? Why are you a good fit? Research the firm beforehand - what their "About Page" focuses on, what values and principles they abide by. Tailor these answers for each firm or industry and practice them.
Example Why UBS? Answer
I first became interested in UBS when attending an informational session at XYZ school. There I spoke with an alumni about the Wealth Management Group and the Graduate Talent Rotational Program (GTP). After expressing an interest in the rotational nature of the GTP, she put me in touch with a few other alumni in the group who, after connecting, invited me to visit the NYC office. Overall, I really connected with the collegial nature of the firm and UBS' focus on the client which has led me want to really want to work/intern with the firm.
How to answer: "Tell me about a time..." Questions
These are the questions they ask when they want to know about your leadership, or dealing with a difficult client, or persuading someone, etc. Here the trick is to answer the right question. For every question, map out the story using the SOAR framework. Describe the Situation (10-15 seconds), Obstacle (10-15s), Action (60-75s), and Result (15-30s). Stories for these questions should be 1.5-2 minutes long and focus only on what's important.

Guess I'm the first to share the questions I got, hope it helps someone. I applied to technology, and I got this Sonru interview. It consisted of 8 questions, you get about 45 seconds to prepare (I think, might be wrong) and 2 minutes to record your answers though first question is slightly longer. Do practice at the start cos you don't get a rest between questions. Anyway, the questions were:
Why UBS? What differentiate them? What interested you? (you get 3 minutes for this one)

A time when you had to explain complicated things to someone with little knowledge
A time when you worked towards an important deadline
A time when you worked with little guidance

can anyone confirm these questions to be similar to theirs - even for other intern positions at UBS?

Did mine 6 days ago and haven't heard back, but apparently that's not long. Can anyone explain to me what CCS really is? What is the equivalent at other banks?
CCS is investment banking division , underwriting equity, debt and M&A deals

hello guys, i did the SONRU interview 10 days ago for CCS and havent heard back, does anyone one how long do they take to review them and answer (if you are out, do they even send you an email)

i am pretty sure that they send an email even if u fail. i waited already for 6 weeks and no answer while my friend got rejected after 3 days
are you applying for the graduate program too? its seems logic that they are not rushing as this program starts in july 2018,
At my school for SF Tech IBD, they let those who were getting super days know within a few days. super day was one week after the last person completed their SONRU in our group.

i mean that in theory banks don't wait till the deadline date of applications and they start reviewing your application once they get it.

I did my UBS Sonru interview for IB COO (NYC) in December. I cringed at how excruciatingly bad I did when it was over. Somehow, I heard back in mid January and was invited to superday at their office in NYC.... Wish me luck.

Hello, this is my first WSO post. I applied to the UBS GTP-Public Finance program in NYC in early october and just submitted my SONRU video interview for it last week. I was wondering if anyone else knows about the interview process and when we should be expected to hear back? Pretty sure the program is pretty new too.
