BAML and Citi Toronto Office

Hi all,

I've searched around, but there doesn't seem to be much information on the site. Does anyone know how big the BAML and Citi team are in Toronto? Also, how is their deal flow (assuming not too much) and exit opps?

Citi Canada mainly does coverage work for all of Canada, not much execution. However, the analysts there are great BAML is probably the busiest BB in Toronto, and has execution capabilities in house. baml's Head of Global Mining/NR and Head of Canadian IB is situated in this office. Led the Shoppers and Loblaws deal (landmark deal in Canada).

Citi's office is pretty new, most of the analyst have stayed or lateraled to other shops. BAML's bankers tend to be lifers, the ones that left have gone on to CPP, OTPP, and Onex. All in all, both are great shops to be in.
