Career Resources
One of the best levfin teams in London, know some guys there who seem intelligent and very personable. Exits will be good, providing you speak some other languages
You have to be careful - LevFin guys often exit to credit funds not plain vanilla PE
Yes that’s what I was wondering if classic PE is complicated after levFin or not
It is - if you are set on PE I would pick a sector team instead
Some headhunters will claim that you are not able to build regular operating models as LevFin is really DCM focussed. A lot of them will recommend Credit and Special Sits funds. For regular PE you should look at M&A/TMT.
Haven't seen a job opening in a while, or do they pretty much never have latteral opportunities?
Will go into more detail than the poster above but overall he summarised it well.
Good team that does not do a lot of volume (i.e. less corporate more sponsors) but rather focused on more attractive/hairier deals (has done quite a few FIG HoldCo structures, PIKs, P2P, large LBOs) - it's also one of the smaller LevFin teams in London so ranking lower in tables but had good dealflow per head.
Good modeling experience from what I have heard. Exits are good but mostly focused on the debt side of things (good Direct lending funds, few HFs SS) - although there has been few exits to PE for those interested in that.
Are you in process for the Summer?
Have you got an offer for this team?
Asking for Summer or Off-Cycle?
Either man!
Anyone heard back after applying to the FT position that was on Linkedin?
Not yet, you? What’s your background out of interest? I’m big 4 aca TS.
