Base salary numbers for this recruitment season (starting FT 2011)?
Just wondering about the analyst and associate interns from this summer who got offers to return to their BB, what is base pay + signing for those starting full time in 2011?
I'd be interested to hear for both New York and London, whichever info you've got.
Somewhat related: on WSO, when you're not logged in it says "sign up and get free access to 2010 salary and recruiter databases!". Where are these databases? (link please)
Thanks!

70 15 for our summer , 15 because of the returning 5K bonus on top of 10k
It's even a sweeter deal in Houston since there is no state income tax (although if you purchase a place, you'll more than make up for it in property taxes).
The FT associate numbers above (100, 40, 10) are in line with the offers I've heard about here at B-School. Some got 5 or 10k additional for early sign-on.
my bank offered 70k base 10k signing 5k early sign bonus for summers
Also, what is the cash value of the benefits package you guys get?
mines a MM and the same as well
70+10 my BB 70 + 10 + 5 (SA Bonus)
oh dayum... my BB was cheap... only 2.5K extra. If they given more, I mightve returned. oh well
ibhopeful - are you serious? for 2.5k you'd change banks? might want to get your priorities straight there...
Pre-tax...
any figures for london?
It seems that the range is more broaden here, I heard in the past 40-45 gbp base + 3-5 gbp sign on
BB Associate - 100K base / 40K signing / 10K relocation bonus.
Where are the databases?
BB Analyst London, 45k base + 6.5k relation (in pounds)
Hong Kong (USD$):
70K Base 30K Housing 10K Relocation +1 Air-ticket
Enjoy that - from talking to friends working in Asia, you definitely earn your housing pay (in terms of average hours / week).
I hear the taxes in Asia are much lower than in the US (from a friend who summered in HK).. not sure if it evens out for the year though
Watch out in Asia: if you're a U.S. citizen, you still have to pay U.S. taxes. First 90k is exempted, though.
if it's exempted...technically you would have taxable income of 60k right? I wouldn't mind that at ALL lol
is the bonus only 10k for analysts? I thought analysts get a much bigger bonus offered to them after they complete 1 year
They're discussing the signing bonus, not the annual bonus.
They do. 10K is a signing bonus, year end bonus is probably 20-40K depending on the bank. 2nd year, your base become 80K.
Thanks for the info. is the year end bonus the same for all cities - NYC/Houston/Chicago?
What are you talking about? Year end bonuses this year were more like 45-65K. Not 20-40.
i also got 70k base and 10 signing from summer. some places add on 5k if you sign early.. but then that means no shopping around
10k signing bonus, end of year bonus is performance bonus (aka how much dick you sucked during the year)
70k salary / 10k sign on bonus / BB / NY
Looks pretty standard.
any guesses on next years bonus numbers for first year analysts just for kicks
^Hopefully its higher. Just wondering, when was it at its highest levels and how much was it?
How much of the $40K signing bonus do you get to keep after taxes? $20K? Seems fair--the government earned that money, not you.
2nd year salary 80k pretty standard across the street? What about 1st and 2nd year salary for MM and Boutiques?
i am a first year in a boutique, 70k and 10k signing
elite boutique : 75k base+ 10k bonus
Any ideas as to what the range of year end bonus numbers is for first years...I know it's tied into earnings obviously but I'm talking best case to worst case sceario
It's not going to be pre-2007 levels anymore.
Bonus: 0K - 60K max.
Yeah......apart from the fact that several places paid in excess of 60K. Citi and JPM both paid 65 and I personally know of analysts at several shops who pulled down up to 85K as first years.
Is 0K a legit possibility?
x
hmmmnot 60k max for the bonus, at least not in our firm. Boutiques pay more usually
70K+10K signing: HL FAS NY.
Does anybody know 2011 full time S&T salaries for Canadian banks?
75k +10k sign on
boutique/MM
70k +10k sign on
