Best Consulting Firm per Industry
Hi guys,
Being new to the world of consulting, I would love to hear your thoughts about the leaders in each specific segments. I obviously know that McKinsey, Bain and BCG are the most represented one in this forum, but which one is better in pharmaceuticals ? Aviation ? Industrials & Chemicals ?
To give you an example, Bain is the largest advisor for PE funds (proven with data)
What do you think ?

This is a bad question because it fluctuates heavily based on region. -- in the US, the best financial services firm on the East Coast may not even be best at financial services on the west coast.
If you ask for a specific state, or city, people can give you answers.
Very true ^ didn’t think about this perspective initially reading this post

Huge generalisations here but:
Bain - best at tech and PE (not debatable)
BCG - best at public sector and nonprofit
McKinsey - best at legacy sectors like industrials and energy
Thanks a lot for your thoughts !
That is, in fact, very debatable and varies vastly across geographies. For example, Bain tech practice in London is far from class leading.
