I am currently from a semi-target NYC school in Los Angeles and am looking to make my way back to where I grew up, New York. I am very passionate about Technology and Finance which obviously leads me to a TMT group. There was a forum from 2015 on the topic but I assume a lot has changed since then. I have been preparing for several months and know that San Francisco is the home of the TMT group but I am wondering which groups (in BB, Elite Boutiques, or MM) would be the best to go for in NYC. I've heard Goldman Sachs has a great program - past that I don't know much. Would love to hear from your experiences.

You really can't go wrong with any of the tech groups at any BB / EB. There's more than enough business to go around.
With that being said, GS / MS definitely lead in New York for the BBs. Evercore leads for the EBs. If given a choice, I'd tend to stick with BBs for technology banking due to the prevalence of IPOs / capital market requirements.
